Posta Rangers dominated Sofapaka to soar to the top of the league as Murang’a Seal were drowned at the very last minute by FC Talanta, while Kariobangi Sharks’ teenage sensation Stanley Wilson inspired the side to a victory over KCB.

Posta Rangers have ascended to the top of the table after a 3-1 rout of Sofapaka in a match played at the Kasarani Annex on Sunday.

The leaders took the lead through former Tusker vice captain Jackson Macharia’s close range finish in the 49th minute.

They doubled their lead in the 70th minute through new signing Peter Thiong’o, who got on the end of a Caleb Olilo pass to bury it home.

Thiongo added a third which seemingly put Posta Rangers set and match, but Sofapaka scored what proved to be their consolation goal through Oliver Maloba.

Sofapaka have now lost each of their last two league games.

Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 KCB

Teenage sensation Stanley Wilson got off the mark for Kariobanhi Sharks as the William Muluya coached outfit beat KCB 2-1 in an FKFPL match played at the Kasarani Anex later on Sunday.

Wilson took the hosts into the lead in the 30th minute when he got on the end of Geoffrey Onyango’s pass.

Industrious striker Francis Kahiro equalized for KCB just before the break, leaving everything to play for in the second half.

The provider for the first would then turn to be the scorer for the second as Onyango put Sharks ahead in the 68th minute, to give them a much deserved 2-1 win at full time.

Talanta 1-0 Murang’a Seal

Murang’a Seal have tasted defeat for the first time in the Premier League in somewhat crushing manner, as Talanta left it till late to score their first goal and ultimately, the winning goal of the match in the 90th minute through Alex Juma at the death.
