Police Football Club has set its timeline for constructing and completing its stadium along Kiira Road, Kampala.
The club chairman, SCP Timothy Halango, said they hope the stadium will be ready by the 2023/24 season.
"We are working tirelessly to construct our stadium at Kiira Roa," Halango told Sanyuka TV on Friday.
"We shall build it in phases, and we hope to finish its construction by the second round of the 2023/24 season. However, we hope to use it in the 2024/25 season."
Police spokesman SCP Fred Enanga recently confirmed to Pulse Uganda Sports that the facility will have a track lane for athletics and a football pitch.
"It will have football grounds and a track lane to benefit people from the community and schools."
“That police land at Kira Road has been used as a sports ground over the years, so it needed to be upgraded to a sporting facility," Enanga said.
Police will compete in the FUFA Big League next season after falling short of promotion to the top-tier league as they finished in fourth position
