'Pathetic decision' - Victor Wanyama's red card ilicits mixed reaction after nightmare debut
Victor Wanyama received his matching orders playing for Dunfermline and the red card has led to divided opinion but was the sending off really necessary?
The experienced custodian Patrick Matasi has been one of the key players for the Kenya national team, Harambee Stars, since making his debut in 2017.
After shooting to prominence with AFC Leopards between 2011-2014, the much-traveled custodian has been conceding questionable goals in important games for both club and country, raising eyebrows about his integrity in the sport.
Matasi, a former Tusker FC player has denied the allegations, as confirmed by Cleophas Shimanyula, the Kakamega Homeboyz owner.
"When the first video emerged on Wednesday night, I sent it to him and his response was that he knows nothing about it. On Thursday] morning, I shared the second part with him, but he said that is not him in the video. He is shocked by the videos," Shimanyula said as per Nation.

Harambee Stars' Jonah Ayunga sends warning to Michael Olunga with spectacular St Mirren display
Ayunga led the line impeccably as St Mirren absolutely tore apart Kilmarnock on Saturday, which gives Benni McCarthy plenty to ponder about his attacking options for Harambee Stars.
Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy's decision to drop Matasi from the last national team assignment can be vindicated.
Harambee Stars, captained by Michael Olunga, drew 3-3 with The Gambia in the 2026 World Cup qualifier clash played in Ivory Coast on March 20. Three days later, Stars lost 2-1 against a superior Gabonese side , denting the team's qualification chances.
In a bid to build a team in his own vision, McCarthy did not call up the 37-year-old. Instead, the South African opted for the trio of Ian Otieno, Brian Bwire and Faruk Shikhalo.
The former two are based in South Africa where Otieno plies trade with Richards Bay while Bwire is in the books of Polokwane City.
