Japan will battle the Super Falcons on July 31st at the Olympics.

Japan's women's national football team dominated Ghana's Black Queens 4-0 in a friendly match played in Kanazawa on Saturday.

The victory extends Japan's winning streak to three friendlies, following their 2-0 and 4-1 wins over New Zealand in May and June, respectively.

The game served as preparation for Japan's group stage matches at the Paris Olympics, where they'll face off against Nigeria's Super Falcons, Brazil, and Spain.

Despite Ghana playing with one less player after a red card in the 23rd minute, they managed to hold Japan scoreless in the first half. However, Japan's offense came alive in the second half.

Mina Tanaka opened the scoring in the 51st minute, followed by goals from Maika Hamano in the 65th minute, Aoba Fujino in the 67th minute, and Riko Ueki in the 80th minute to secure a convincing win.

A Rematch with Nigeria

Turning their attention to the Olympics, Japan will kick off their campaign against the reigning Women's World Cup champions, Spain, on July 25th. They'll then face Brazil on July 28th before concluding the group stage against the Super Falcons on July 31st.

The clash against Super Falcons will be the second time Nigeria and Japan meet in the Olympic women's football tournament, with the first encounter being a 1-0 victory for Nigeria in the group stage at the 2004 Athens Games.

Interestingly, Japan has won all three of their most recent meetings against Nigeria (all friendlies) with an identical 2-0 scoreline.
