Nigeria's Super Falcons kick off their quest against Brazil while Zambia's Queens take on the mighty USA in the Paris 2024 Olympics opening matches.

The continent of Africa is firmly behind its two representatives at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics - Nigeria's Super Falcons and Zambia's Copper Queens.

In a rousing statement released on their social media platforms, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have thrown their full support behind the two nations as they embark on their quests for Olympic glory.

'African Queens ready to paint the Olympic sky,' CAF boldly declared, sending a clear message that the continent is united behind its trailblazers.

Nigeria vs Brazil: Super Falcons face Paris 2024 test

Nigeria's Super Falcons are set to make their long-awaited return to the Olympic stage, with the team's last appearance dating back to 2008.

Unfortunately for Randy Waldrum's side, they have been drawn into a daunting Group C, which pits them against reigning world champions Spain, football powerhouse Brazil, and Japan.

But the Payne sisters, Nicole and Toni, have been leading the charge on social media, with the Super Falcons squad brimming with confidence as they prepare to take on the world's best.

And now, Paris Saint-Germain's latest signing, Jennifer Echegini, has added her voice to the growing chorus of Nigerian stars eager to make their mark, simply declaring: 'Olympic ready.'

Asisat Oshoala has lost her starting berth in the team but Azeez wants to see the veteran start in Paris 2024.

Zambia vs USA: Banda and Racheal lead Queens

Across the continent, Zambia's Copper Queens are also set to make their mark on the global stage, with the team's star players Racheal Kundananji and Brabra Banda ready to lead the charge.

Kundananji, who recently became the world's most expensive women's footballer when she joined Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala at Bay FC, and Banda, the second most expensive player, will be the key weapons in Zambia's arsenal as they take on the mighty USA.
