According to the country's football governing body, all preparations for the team including a camping period in North Africa should be enough to spur them to glory in Algeria and pick a ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles are drawn in Group B of the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations alongside 2015 runner-ups South Africa, 2013 losing semifinalists Morocco, and Zambia.
