CR Belouizdad host Onyango's Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarterfinal
Mamelodi Sundowns will pay their respect and appreciate Nelson Mandela on Saturday night when they face Algerian side CR Belouizdad in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarterfinal.
The two sides will clash on Saturday night inside the newly-built 40,000-seater Nelson Mandela Stadium that was opened officially in January this year.
Their head coach Rulani Mokwena has said that the team will appreciate the founding father of their nation during the match.
“There will be an opportunity for us to demonstrate our appreciation to him and what he did for our country,” Mokwena noted.

Tough side
Mokwena knows that his team enter the tie with odds on their side due to history but will face a tough opponent.
“Belouizdad is a very good side even though they finished second in their group with 10 points. They had a good campaign in the Champions League and in their domestic league, where they sit in the first position,” he added.
CR Belouizdad is currently leading the Algerian league with 45 points, five ahead of CS Constantine in second place with two games at hand.
