The forward was a part of the Enyimba team that won the NPFL for a historic ninth time last season.

Former NPFL and Enyimba star Victor Mbaoma has capped off a remarkable campaign by winning the Rwandan Premier League with APR FC, finishing as the joint-top scorer with 15 goals.

The 28-year-old Nigerian forward joined the Rwandan giants last summer from Enyimba after coming close to signing for Remo Stars in his homeland.

Mbaoma's prolific form in front of goal helped fire APR FC to an unprecedented unbeaten league season.

The Kigali-based side did not lose a single one of their 30 Premier League matches in the 2023/24 season as they romped to the title.

The former Enyimba man shared the Golden Boot with 15 goals, despite missing chunks of the season through injury.

His deadly finishing and all-round play were crucial in APR FC's total dominance of the Rwandan top flight.

Mbaoma's rise has been a meteoric one after he nearly joined Remo Stars last year before opting for the move to Rwanda at the last minute.

He has set the league on fire with his performances since arriving at the Army Club, culminating in leading them to the league crown.
