Police climb to fifth place after chewing out hapless Nzoia Sugar 2-0.
Kenya Police’s impressive record under Salim Babu continued as they brushed aside Nzoia Sugar 2-0 in an FKFPL encounter that took place at the Police Sacco Stadium in South C on Sunday afternoon.
Goals by Kenneth Muguna and Tito Okello were enough to effectively give Police all the three points and put them sixth (depending on Posta Rangers' outcome against Murang'a Seal) place after 19 games, where they now sit on 27 points.
Nzoia Sugar remain rock-bottom of the league on 13 points and will surely be beginning to wonder where their next win will come from.

STARS ABROAD Australia-born Harambee Stars prospect returns from suspension to help Perth Glory gain big win over former employers
Kamau helped Perth Glory get one over his former employers Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday.
Both sides did test each other’s resolve a couple of times in the first half. Kenya Police’s Alvin Mangeni had a chance when he blazed over the bar in the 20th minute.
Then Nzoia had two chances, the first from a corner kick which Victor Haki could not bury away, and then another from Elisha Wekesa who blazed his effort over the bar after driving with the ball well for over 50 yards down the right flank.
They would then be punished for their profligacy in the 33rd minute when David Okoth won a penalty after being brought down in the box by keeper Fred Shiundu.

FKFPL Dejected Matano adamant Tusker were denied penalty in loss to Gor Mahia
Matano insists Tusker were denied a penalty during their 1-0 loss to Gor Mahia on Saturday.
Kenyan international Kenneth Muguna grabbed the ball before dispatching the ball expertly into the right side of Shiundu’s net to put them one goal up.
Okoth should have made it two in the 40th minute after a neat one-two with Muguna, but his left footed shot forced Shiundu into making yet another excellent save.
From the resulting corner kick, Tito Okello rose higher than everyone else to head the ball well from an Alvin Mang’eni corner kick to make it 2-0 to the Law Enforcers’ good heading into the break.

STARS ABROAD Harambee Stars prospect Zak Vyner Onyego stands tall in Bristol City’s draw with Watford
Harambee Stars prospect Zak Vyner Onyego continued to impress during Bristol City’s 1-1 draw with Watford in a Championship clash that took place on Saturday night.
In the 52nd minute, a sleek move by Police ended up with Okoth through on goal with a good opportunity to make it 3-0. But Shiundu made yet another excellent save to keep the tie 2-0.
The game effectively became a damp squib with the ball being in the middle of the park a majority of times for the better part of the next 20 minutes.
Former Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Tyson Otieno could have made it three when he attempted a low drilled shot from inside the box just wide after another well constructed Police move.
He made another splendid attempt moments later as Sugar just could not get hold of the possession as Police began toying with them.
In the end, Police had enough to get all the three points and will be full of confidence in their next game against Posta Rangers.
