Could Omari Forson’s rise be as meteoric as Kobbie Mainoo’s as he eyes maiden start upfront for Man United in Hojlund’s absence?

“He has come in now twice against Newport and Wolves when he had a very good moment when he was decisive in setting up the goal for Kobie Mainoo so he deserves to play and now he has to show it.”

“A Manchester United front three of all academy players plus Mainoo bossing the midfield is basically the reason I watch football. Best of luck to Omari Forson today,” was the observation of another supporter.

“Kobbie Mainoo, 18 years old. Alejandro Garnacho, 19 years old. Omari Forson, 19 years old. All starting for Manchester United at Old Trafford, alongside fellow academy product Marcus Rashford - with Scott McTominay, Toby Collyer & Willy Kambwala on the bench. That's special.”
Forson's journey with Manchester United began in January 2019 when he made the switch from Tottenham Hotspur. Rising through the ranks of the club's youth teams, he played a pivotal role in the Under-18s FA Youth Cup-winning team in 2022, sharing the spotlight with current first-team stars Mainoo and Garnacho.
