"Unlikely but possible" was the phrase used by an anonymous authority at Vipers SC when asked about a possible move for former KCCA FC playmaker Allan Okello.
The latter has been the subject of what many have termed jokes, of what would be a hugely controversial move.
The star, who was in his second stint at KCCA last season, albeit, on loan from Paradou AC, is reportedly on the market for takers.
With a year remaining on his contract with the Algerian outfit, the latter prefer a permanent sale to another loan move.
Exorbitant sums in the region of $350,000 (about Shs. 1.2bn) have however been reported, which could scare away any possible interests.
"It's unlikely but possible, in football you can't say never," a source at Vipers told Pulse Sports Uganda about the possibility of signing him.
"He's is a very good player and we don't doubt his abilities. We need to work with the best players," she added.
Despite a low-key season given his high standards, Okello still managed eight assists (the joint-highest) and five goals in the league for the Kasasiro Boys.
Okello is only 23 years and can still turn into the player he promised during his first stint at KCCA under Mike Mutebi.
