The win took Tusker top of the Kenya Premier League table with four games to go as Johnathan McKinstry’s Gor Mahia lost to AFC Leopards
Deogratius Ojok’s 13th-minute goal against Kariobangi Sharks was all that Tusker needed to go top of the Kenya Premier League table after match day 30.
Lewin Odhiambo darted to the upper left wing before slotting in a pass that Ojok slid through to smash in the lone goal.
The win temporarily took Tusker top of the table with four games to go but the stats were made permanent as Johnathan McKinstry’s Gor Mahia lost to AFC Leopards in the Nairobi derby on Sunday.
Tusker leapfrogged holders Gor Mahia to 64 points, one more.
Nzoia Sugar follows in third with 60 points.
