The leadership of Ogun State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), says preparations are in place to host the second edition of the Ogun SWAN Media Cup.
The association said that Chief Segun Showunmi, a sports fan, public affairs commentator, and candidate for governor of Ogun State in the PDP, had agreed to support the organization.
When the SWAN Executives, lead by Hakeem Akintunde, paid him a courtesy visit at his Ibara GRA home, Segun Showunmi stated his willingness to sponsor the second iteration of the media cup.

According to Chief Showunmi, Sports continue to be a unifying force, and as such, they ought to be considered a top-tier industry.
He encouraged SWAN to plan a great competition while expressing his willingness to participate in the eagerly anticipated media event.
