The keenly anticipated NPFL title decider between Rangers and Enyimba ended in chaos with both team taking to social media after the match was abandoned.

The remarkable scenes that saw the NPFL title showdown between Rangers International and Enyimba abandoned in Enugu have sparked an EXTRAORDINARY social media battle between the two rivals.

With the highly-anticipated Oriental Derby poised at 0-0 deep into stoppage time, chaos erupted when referee Ogunayanmodi awarded Rangers a 98th-minute penalty after Godwin Obaje was pulled back by Pascal Eze.

Enyimba players furiously protested the decision before incredibly taking the remarkable step of ABANDONING the match and walking off the pitch as tensions boiled over.

But Rangers hit back explosively with a now-deleted post that read: "Enyimba players and fans were so unprofessional.”

“ The videos are everywhere. Nigerians can see your unprofessionalism in full galore. Enyimba Players beating refree. Enyimba Players and Fans Fighting and Stoning Stewards with sharp objects."

The gloves are well and truly off between these two NPFL heavyweights as their highly-charged title battle threatens to descend into all-out war on and off the pitch!
