Victor Wanyama has shared what he feels is not right with his former team Tottenham following their less than impressive Premier League run.
Former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is saddened that his former club Tottenham have not enjoyed a consistent run of form this season.
Wanyama played for Spurs for four years between 2016 and 2020, having joined the club from Southampton, and formed part of what has been a successful spell at Spurs in recent years.
Spurs, then managed by Mauricio Pochettino, were title challengers and also reached the UEFA Champions League final, but have since fallen back to mid table mediocrity.

Ex-Tottenhmam & Harambee Stars midfielder Victor Wanyama on why Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is a 'world class coach'
Thierry Henry has had quite an unstable career as a coach, but Wanyama, who worked under him for Canadian outfit CF Montreal has explained why the legendary fomer forward is a 'world-class' coach.
Now managed by Australian Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham have been blowing hot and cold and currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League after winning seven, losing as many and drawing seven of their 16 matches for 23 points.
Wanyama feels the club is capable of moving higher up the table but must first check their inconsistent run of form.
“This season is not very good because they have not been that consistent. They started well but now it is a bit of a difficult time but I know for sure they will bounce back,” Wanyama told LiveScore.
“Lack of consistency, sometimes they are, sometimes they are not. If they can find their feet again and be consistent, everything will be good.”
While they have not been great in the league, Spurs have maintained a good run in the Carabao Cup where they have made it to the semi-final following a 4-3 win over Manchester United on Thursday.
Spurs will face Liverpool in the two-legged semi-final in January and February but before then, they have an imminent meeting with Arne Slot’s team in the Premier League on Sunday.
