The new season of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has been scheduled to kick off on Friday, March 3.
The official for the new season of the Nigeria National League (NNL) - Nigeria's second club football division, has been fixed for Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
According to the Media & Communications department of the NNL, the new season which is scheduled to kick off Friday, March 3, 2023, will see 43 teams split across two conferences: Northern and Southern, and eight groups: A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3 and B4.
The champion of the 2023 NNL season will be determined in a Super 8 playoff, which will be comprised of the top team from each group at the end of the regular season.
NNL fixture draws to hold February 22
The draw, which will take place virtually, is scheduled to hold in the morning of Wednesday, February 22 at the Nigeria National League secretariat, in Wuse, Abuja.
The 2023 season will feature 19 teams in the Northern Conference, while an additional 24 will play in the Southern Conference.
For the 2023 season, teams have been grouped based on proximity, with the NNL management, stating that only clubs that have duly complied with the licensing registration formalities will be legible to be drawn in the fixtures.
