Brian Nkuubi has been presented with a small window of opportunity to prove himself to SC Villa's new head coach, Dusan Stojanovic.

Stojanovic has made it clear that Nkuubi will need to demonstrate his abilities if he wishes to be considered for a contract with the club.

Sources indicate that Nkuubi was recommended to SC Villa by assistant coach Morley Byekwaso, and he made a positive first impression during his initial sessions with the team.

However, Stojanovic is requesting more time to assess Nkuubi and work with him before making a final decision, with a two-year contract expected to be presented to the midfielder.

As a free agent following the end of his tenure at Maroons, where he joined in July 2020, Nkuubi is eager to seize this chance and make a lasting impact at the club.

Having played 16 league games for Maroons, Nkuubi contributed to the team's impressive sixth-place finish in the league.

The 29-year-old believes that joining SC Villa could be the right avenue for him to rejuvenate his career, which has experienced a slight stall since his breakthrough at Kira Young in 2013.

Nkuubi's football journey has seen him play for various teams throughout his career. He had a successful spell at Vipers, where he won two Uganda Premier League titles during his five-year stay.

However, he was released by the club in August 2020 before signing for URA FC, where he spent two seasons but struggled with limited playing time due to injuries.

Throughout the 2017/18 season and beyond, Nkuubi has amassed a total of 57 league appearances, scoring nine goals along the way.
