Nottingham Forest’s Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis recently revealed his footballing idol after finally getting to meet the Brazilian legend of the game.
Dennis celebrates meeting Ronaldinho
Dennis, who helped Nottingham Forest stave off relegation and has been capped eight times by the Super Eagles of Nigeria, is one of the most popular Nigerian figures in the Premier League.
The star forward recently met up with football royalty Ronaldinho and effused about the encounter on Twitter, clearly overjoyed to finally meet his childhood football hero.
Speaking on the chance meeting, Dennis tweeted “Meet the reason why I’m a football player today, the real GOAT. I’m speechless.”

The famous Brazilian star is an inspiration to numerous current professionals after holding the world of football spellbound with his unbelievable skills and array of tricks in his heyday.
Ronaldinho Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Barcelona at the peak of his powers, winning the 2006 UEFA Champions League as well as the 2005 Ballon d’Or for the best player in the world.
It is therefore no surprise the effect that he has on many football players who consider him one of the best to play the game and a point of reference for their own styles of play.
