Frimpong's background
Frimpong's family relocated to England when he was seven, meaning he was eligible to represent the Netherlands, Ghana, and England.
The 24-year-old played for the Netherlands at the U-19 level, debuting against Armenia U-19 in November 2018 and later making his U-20 debut in November 2019.
In 2023, he made his senior debut for the Netherlands, scoring one goal in ten appearances.
Although Frimpong was included in the final squad for the Netherlands team at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, he was not featured in any game at the tournament.
