Bandari FC’s new board held a consultative meeting on Wednesday after recent changes made by the Kenya Ports Authority.
The Football Kenya Federation Premier League club is managed by the ports authority – through a board of trustees - which made changes to the top management of the team.
The new board held its meeting, which was led by vice chairman Twaha Mbarak, a known football administrator from the coastal region.

"Bandari are sleeping giants, and there is an urgent need to awaken them from their slumber. They ought to be among the top title contenders each season," he said after he was confirmed as the new vice-chair.

With 30 games played so far, Bandari are sixth with 48 points, a whopping 16 points behind league leaders Tusker.
After they were eliminated by AFC Leopards from the FKF Cup, the technical team was reshuffled, with Anthony Kimani leaving as head coach and in came experienced Twahir Muhiddin.
