Serie A champions Napoli have lost another key figure that helped them to Scudetto success in the 2022/23 campaign as the summer exodus at the club continues.
Napoli director set to join Juventus
Director of Sport Cristiano Giuntoli is believed to be on the verge of leaving the club to join rivals Juventus and could be cancelling his contract with the club in order to make the move.

Giuntolli was meant to remain at the club until at least 2024 after helping build the side that ended Napoli’s 33-year Scudetto drought, but it looks increasingly likely that the Italian administrator will instead be cutting his journey in Naples short to join Juventus ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 51-year-old has been with Napoli since 2015 and sanctioned transfers for players like Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kim Min Jae, and many more who formed the backbone of the Partenopei’s famous conquerors.
Napoli losing the core of 2023 Scudetto winners
Reports coming out of Italy now suggest that the director will take his services to Juventus after a successful spell with Napoli, hoping to achieve similar results with the Old Lady.
Giuntoli’s exit follows that of manager Luciano Spalletti who decided to forego a one-year extension at the club in order to take a sabbatical from football management just days after securing the 2023 Serie A title.
Despite promises from Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis about keeping the squad which won the club’s first Scudetto since 1990 together, more exits are expected with defender Kim Min Jae expected to join Bayern Munich before the end of the transfer window, while Osimhen is PSG’s main alternative if they lose Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid this summer.
