The former Kenya Police FC target has bid farewell to Murang'a Seal penning heartfelt message thanking the club for a memorable four-year tenure.

Eric Balecho has announced his departure from Murang'a Seal after an impactful four-year stay at St. Sebastian Park.

The skilled midfielder is now set to join Tusker FC after signing a two-year deal with the twelve-time FKF Premier League champions.

Balecho's journey with Murang'a Seal began in 2020 shortly after his stint at the Cheza Sports Academy.

"It's been a great journey for the past 4 years. You believed in me and will forever be grateful for the memories shared together. Thank you, Murang’a Seal," Balecho shared in an emotional X post.

The announcement comes after months of speculation linking Balecho to other top-flight clubs, with Tusker finally securing his signature.

His journey through football began in Mombasa at the Cool Boys Soccer Academy and progressed through various levels before making a significant impact at Murang’a Seal.

His development was briefly interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, which ravaged the sports ecosystem globally.

However, Balecho returned with renewed vigor eventually playing a crucial role in Seal's promotion campaign.

Last season, Balecho's performances not only solidified his reputation as a formidable midfielder but also earned him his maiden call-up to the national team, the Harambee Stars, in November 2023.

His departure from Seal marks the end of an era for the club but also highlights the transient nature of football careers, where new opportunities can lead to new beginnings.
