Muhoroni Youth FC players boycott activities over unpaid salaries, causing a crisis with departures and uncertain future for the club.

Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Muhoroni Youth FC players are presently engaged in a silent revolt due to ongoing issues with unpaid salaries.

This unrest has led to a significant number of the team's members refusing to participate in club activities until their outstanding dues are settled.

Sources close to the team have disclosed that the players' patience has reached its limit, and they have collectively decided to abstain from all club-related activities.

This decision has been underscored by the absence of most senior players from the training camp, many of whom have already issued notices to terminate their contracts due to the non-payment of salaries.

The situation has been further exacerbated by the recent departures of key players, including goalkeepers Ezekiel Owade, Tom Muthoni, and striker Collins Neto, all of whom left the club citing unpaid salaries as their primary reason.

This exodus of talent has left the team in a precarious position, with reports indicating that only seven senior players reported to the camp following the Christmas break.

An inside source, preferring to remain anonymous, shared their concerns: "Only seven first-team players reported to camp after the Christmas break, since most have requested to mutually terminate their contracts. The situation is dire for the players, as many have not received their salaries for months."

In light of these developments, club owner Moses Adagala is reportedly considering various options, including the promotion of players from his other team, Muhoroni Young, once the transfer window opens on January 8.

Efforts to reach club officials for comments have been unsuccessful, as they were reportedly engaged in a crisis meeting.

However, Pulse Sports learned that these officials have been actively trying to persuade players to return to camp in preparation for their upcoming Saturday match against Shabana.

This match, scheduled to take place at Raila Odinga Stadium, is anticipated to be highly competitive.

The financial struggles of Muhoroni Youth have been apparent since the beginning of the season.

There were reports of the club engaging in extensive talks with a potential sponsor, but these discussions ultimately did not lead to a fruitful partnership.

Currently positioned 15th on the table with 15 points from 16 matches, Muhoroni Youth have managed only three wins, alongside seven losses and six draws.
