Mugisha Rogers has evidently kicked off his career in the Kenyan Premier League robustly with the record league champions, Gor Mahia.
The former U-20 Uganda Hippos and UPDF FC midfielder marked his score sheet for Jonathan McKinstry's squad during a 1-1 league draw against KCB Bank FC on Sunday, netting a late equalizer to secure a point for K’Ogalo.
Named the Man of the Match, Mugisha conveyed his gratitude via his Twitter account, emphasizing that the journey for Gor Mahia is far from over.
“Just another step in the process; we’re not done yet. A point at home, and we shall build from that next time. Thank God for my first goal at the club,” he wrote.
This draw elevated Gor Mahia to nine points, positioning them in second place after five games.
Mugisha Rogers became a part of the Green Army in August 2023 and has since participated in all the matches.
He started in games against KCB, Nairobi City Stars, and Ulinzi and made appearances off the bench against Kakamega FC and Sofapaka FC.
Gor Mahia's upcoming challenge is the Mashemeji derby against their arch-rivals, AFC Leopards, scheduled for this Saturday at the Nyayo Stadium.
