Ulinzi Stars’ pacey right winger, Boniface Muchiri insists he will be “100 percent” focused on trying to deliver a win against former employers Tusker this weekend.

Muchiri joined Tusker in 2017 from Sony Sugar. In his time at the club, he helped them deliver a Premier League title with his mind-blowing abilities on the ball from the flanks that were a nightmare for opposition fullbacks and wowed fans.

“I have been there for five to six years. They know everything about Muchiri but at the end of the day, I believe I will have a good game against them giving 100 percent and I will appreciate the results God will give us and be thankful,” Muchiri said.

The Kenyan International has challenged his teammates to take the match against the Brewers as seriously as it comes.

“It will be a tough game because it is a knockout fixture and there are no second chances. We are here because we have a job (to win) at the end of the day and Ulinzi matters most.”

The Soldiers did not have a good game against Bidco in a league encounter on Monday.

They were heavily thrashed 3-0 by the Thika-based outfit and are stuck in eighth place on 44 points after 30 matches played. A victory over Tusker this weekend will put them in the final of the FKF Cup.

Should they win the cup, they will qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup next season. Muchiri has already experienced continental football before.
