Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, calling him one of the most influential managers in the last 20 years.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola has just led his team to a fifth PL title in six seasons and many have labeled him the greatest of all time. The Spaniard however has chosen to shower praise on another manager, Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi.
The two teams clash on Wednesday night, with Europa League football all but wrapped up for Brighton, Guardiola believes they deserve all the success.
"There is no team playing the way they play - it's unique,” Guardiola said of De Zerbi.
"I had the feeling when he arrived the impact he would have in the Premier League would be great - I didn't expect him to do it in this short space of time.
"De Zerbi is one of the most influential managers in football in the last 20 years"
