Morrocan forward Youssef En-Nesyri reached a new milestone after scoring against Manchester United in the Europa League
Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri has recorded a new milestone with his brace against Manchester United in the second leg of the quarterfinal of the UEFA Europa League, which Sevilla won convincingly with a 3-0 scoreline.
En-Nesyri dashed Manchester United’s hopes of making it to the UEL
En-Nesyri was the beneficiary of two defensive howlers and punished the Red Devils on both occasions to ensure that Sevilla would find safe passage into the UEL Semifinals.
With his brace against Manchester United, En-Nesyri reached his 50th goal for Sevilla in all competitions, becoming the 25th player in the club’s history to reach that milestone and only the 11th player from outside Spain to reach the landmark.
His goals on the night were enough to help Sevilla reach their fifth Europa League semifinal, with the Spanish side owning a record of winning all the editions of the competition where they have reached this stage.
En-Nesyri hoping to make more history with Sevilla
En-Nesyri’s brace against Manchester United were his 15th and 16th goals of the 2022/23 season, as the Moroccan continues to defy Sevilla’s difficult season to enjoy a decent campaign.
The Moroccan forward is now on three goals in the Europa League and is only three goals away from the competition’s current top scorers who have scored six goals each, but have both been eliminated from the competition after the last round.
En-Nesyri will be hoping to dominate again when Sevilla take on Juventus in the semifinals, hoping to extend their record for the most Europa League crown.

The Red Devils were embarrassed 3-0 in Seville after conceding an early goal following a mix-up between De Gea and Maguire.
After the early goal, things only got worse for Manchester United as they conceded two more goals, including one gifted to Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri by De Gea.
