The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has started every game this season since making a U-turn on his decision to leave the club after the end of last season.
After collecting a 2-0 win over New York Red Bulls last time out, Wanyama revealed that their slow start was due to changes in the coaching setup and squad.
“I knew it would take a bit of time. We have a lot of new players and not everyone got what the manager wanted to do, but now everybody seems to be on the same page, and everything is flowing.
“When you have depth in the team, everyone wants to start and compete, that way we can get the best out of ourselves and the best team to perform on the weekend,” Wanyama told Everything GP.
Montreal appointed Hernan Losada as their new manager back in December and became the youngest coach in Montreal's franchise history at the age of 40.

Despite retiring from international duty in 2021, Wanyama announced his potential comeback last December after meeting with Kenya's sports minister, Ababu Namwamba.
Losada retired as a player in 2018 and in only four years of coaching has helped Belgian club Beerschot earn promotion to the top flight before joining D.C. United.
Montreal were busy in the off-season transfer window after losing a number of key players which forced them to bring on Bryce Duke, Ariel Lassiter, George Campbell, Aaron Herrera, Chinonso Offor, and Ilias Iliadis.
