Mohammed Kudus could face more than a three match ban after rubbing shoulders with Micky van de Ven
West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus is facing the possibility of a longer suspension after being sent off for violent conduct during Saturday's clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The incident, which occurred in the 86th minute, has drawn significant attention, with former referee Mike Dean suggesting that Kudus could receive additional punishment from the FA.
Initially shown a yellow card by referee Andrew Madley, the decision was overturned after a VAR review, leading to a straight red card.

Violent conduct typically incurs a minimum three-match ban, but Dean believes Kudus’ actions warrant a harsher penalty.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Dean stated, "When you see the footage back, the first one he could have got sent off for, which hopefully he has. Hopefully, the second one the FA will then take retrospective action so he’ll get done twice in my opinion because he’s hit two different players in the face on two occasions."
The FA has a history of imposing significant sanctions for violent behavior, with examples such as Joey Barton receiving a nine-game ban for multiple violent incidents in 2012.

Pep Guardiola admits 'a part of me is leaving' Manchester City & that he would advice on his successor
Pep Guardiola's days seem numbered as the club pushes to convince him to pen an extension to his stay at Manchester City
This precedent raises concerns for Kudus, who could find himself sidelined for an extended period.
West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui, while acknowledging the incident, indicated he had not yet reviewed the footage. He expressed his intention to discuss the matter with Kudus soon. "We need to talk, but today is not the day," Lopetegui said. "I am sure he is going to be aware that he can improve his answer in this moment because it's not good for him, it's not good for the club, for the team."
As it stands, Kudus is set to miss crucial matches against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton, with his absence likely felt by the team as they navigate a challenging stretch in the Premier League.
With the potential for further punishment looming, Kudus' actions have raised questions about discipline and player conduct on the pitch. The FA's decision regarding any additional sanctions will be closely watched in the coming days.
