Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic was left pondering his next move following a 2-1 defeat against Algeria on Sunday.
The defeat in Cameroon left Uganda on the brink, third in Group F and three points behind second-placed Tanzania.
Micho revealed in his post-match interview that there were positives from the clash despite the defeat.
“They have applied themselves very well, we had the chance to Mato hitting the post, and we scored that goal. We stretched over all limits, but it was not meant to be,” Micho noted.

Mohamed Amoura scored a brace for the Desert Foxes in either half, while Fahad Bayo’s goal in the 89th minute was too little too late.
“When you look at everything, I believe that we are fully aware that as a team with young players, we have no right to make mistakes because of this level of international competition.
“Mistakes are extremely expensive, and we have really learnt the hardest possible way.
“I believe we deserve much more from the match. However, we didn’t get it, and I believe that we have learnt the hardest way, and we have no right to commit these mistakes in times ahead of us.

With Algeria already confirming their qualification for the tournament finals, the Cranes headed into the game well aware of Tanzania’s 1-0 victory over Niger in the earlier group F encounter.
Goalkeeper Salim Jamal was at fault for the first goal, cheaply giving away possession before fumbling a long-range effort to put it on the plate for Amoura’s opener.
