Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga is determined to secure his life after football and has added another major investment to his multimillion empire.

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga is not relenting in his bid to invest his football earnings as much as possible.

Olunga, who has a number of investments ranging from football to real estate, has another multimillion property coming up.

While it is not yet known if it is a commercial or residential property, the multi-storey building is in its final stages of construction and the Al Duhail striker has expressed his delight at the progress.

“So far so good. #mjengo,” a beaming Olunga posted on social media, accompanying his post with a photo of the property.

Olunga is not new to real estate investment. He is known to have invested in property in Kenya and beyond and was a subject of a land dispute in 2023 when he sought legal redress after a real estate firm nearly conned him and his partner Ksh67 million.

He sued the company over its refusal to hand over a Nairobi land to them even after settling the agreed payment.

"They have been consistently treating us with false promises, only to realise that they had advertised the property on social media sites and sold it to a third party,” Olunga, who also owns a mansion in his home county of Homa Bay, told The Standard at the time.

"Despite the demand to reimburse back our money or transfer the property to us, the company consistently started treating us to promises and counter promises without any action.”

The two parties, however, agreed to settle the matter out of court, allowing Olunga to proceed with his investment plans.

Besides real estate, Olunga has also invested in football with his Michael Olunga Foundation Academy (MOFA) FC coming close to securing promotion to the second tier National Super League before losing to Fortune Sacco in the playoff last month.

Olunga is also in talks to acquire a big stake in Swedish third tier side AFC Eskilstuna with a number of clauses in the deal still yet to be agreed on.

The 30-year-old is currently the highest paid Kenyan player with his deal at Al Duhail reportedly earning him over Ksh6 million per week and he seems determined to secure his life after football given the huge investments.
