Michael Olise has been told by Nigerians to stop pretending he is a foreign citizen after he was snubbed by France for the EURO 2024.

Crystal Palace's Michael Olise has been left out of France's squad for the upcoming EURO 2024 tournament leaving the door open for him to join Victor Oismhen and Victor Boniface in Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The talented midfielder, who is eligible to represent Nigeria, France, England, and Algeria, has been in superb form for his club this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists in just 18 Premier League matches.

However, the French national team has decided not to include Olise in their 25-man squad for the European Championship, EURO 2024, a decision that has sparked a strong reaction from Nigerian fans.

"Join this deadly attack king, France don't respect you," one Nigerian fan commented, urging Olise to consider representing the Super Eagles with an attack of Osimhen, Boniface, Ademola Lookman etc.

Another fan expressed their disappointment, saying on Facebook; "Michael Olise come and play for your father's land you won't listen! All of you will be claiming foreign citizen, now you have been snubbed in France's squad for Euro 2024 despite your great form with Crystal Palace!"

The sentiment was echoed by others, who believe that Olise would be better off playing for Nigeria, the "Giant of Africa," rather than France, who are one of the major favourites to win the EURO 2024.

"He's wasting his time wanting to play for France that can't make it past quarter finals instead of playing for the Giant of Africa Nigeria," one fan commented.

Nigerians are confident that Olise's inclusion in the Super Eagles' squad would make them "unstoppable" and potentially even bring the World Cup trophy back home.

As Olise continues to impress in the Premier League, the debate over his international future is sure to intensify.

With Nigeria eager to secure his services and France seemingly unwilling to give him a chance, the young midfielder's decision could have significant implications for both national teams.
