Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger have been cleared to face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League after being investigated.
Following Madrid’s victory over Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League, the duo made awkward gestures during celebration.
UEFA launched an investigation into the incident, and there were reports that the players could be suspended for their game against Arsenal.
However, they have only been fined by the European body and will be available to face the Gunners next week.

Real Madrid fans received good news from UEFA after Mbappe and Rudiger were only fined for their gesture in their win against Atletico.
According to Charles Watts on X, “No bans for any of the Madrid players from UEFA for their celebrations after the win at Atletico. Mbappe, Rudiger will be available to face Arsenal on Tuesday.”

The statement from UEFA reads,”To fine Real Madrid CF player, Antonio Rüdiger, €40,000 and to suspend him for a total of one (1) UEFA club competition match for which he would be otherwise eligible for violating the basic rules of decent conduct.
“Said suspension is not immediately enforced and is subject to a probationary period of one (1) year, starting from the date of the present decision.

“To fine Real Madrid CF player, Kylian Mbappé, €30,000 and to suspend him for a total of one (1) UEFA club competition match for which he would be otherwise eligible for violating the basic rules of decent conduct.

“To fine Real Madrid CF player, Daniel Ceballos Fernández, €20,000 for violating the basic rules of decent conduct.”
