Isabirye has been shortlisted alongside Sam Timbe (URA) and Arua Hill’s Livingstone Mbabazi for the award that concludes the season.
The newly-crowned StarTimes Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup double-winning coach Alex Isabirye is primed for his final package of the season after being nominated for the Pilsner coach of the month of May.
Isabirye has been shortlisted alongside Sam Timbe (URA) and Arua Hill’s Livingstone Mbabazi for the award that concludes the season.
The challenge for the organisers will arise from the right formula to use to pick the best due to the uneven number of games played by each.

FOOTBALL Isabirye, Micho, Mutebi and the distinguished class of the Salongos
Vipers joined KCCA FC, SC Villa and Express in the league of clubs that have won the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup double.
Vipers played seven games, won four, drew two and lost one; Timbe oversaw only four, with the Tax Collectors winning two and as many draws; Arua Hill won three, drew one and lost one of their five.
The ratio of points to games played is even at 2 points per game for each coach and their team.
However, on top of winning, Isabirye has goals that back him after his Venoms fired 14, meaning that they scored an average of two per game and conceded one.

Timbe’s boys made the biggest news on the final day by beating Villa to hand the trophy to Vipers, but their goal return of seven in four is slightly less than two per game.
That applies to the Kongolo as well.
