Vipers have since trash-talked the reports stressing that Mbabazi is "down with malaria" and that "he is still the head coach."
For a second match running, Vipers head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi was a no-show on the touchline as they thrashed Wakiso Giants FC 4-0 at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende on Sunday.
The tactician's future continues to draw uncertainties after reports of his sacking rocked the airwaves at the end of the preceding week.
Vipers have since trash-talked the reports stressing that Mbabazi is "down with malaria" and that "he is still the head coach."
Meanwhile, on the triumphant Sunday evening, assistant coach Richard Wasswa was in charge of proceedings, as the case was in their 3-0 win over Iganga Young in the Uganda Cup.
