Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks with his contract set to expire in 2024.

The England midfielder who has been with the Blues since he was six years of age is yet to agree on a new deal with the club after having a disagreement on the player's request during negotiation.

According to Mail Sports, Mason Mount reportedly spoke with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly directly last week about his future, which is seen as a positive development given other club interest in the English player.

Mount demand triple of his wages

According to reports, it is said that Mason Mount wants triple his current wage at Chelsea which the club is yet to agree upon.

The Blues now intend to either extend his contract or sell the midfielder with a £70 million price tag being bandied about in the summer, delaying negotiations between the sides over a new term.

According to The Athletic, the club hierarchy holds Mount in the highest regard despite the disagreement between both parties, which has drawn interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich.

Mount's chance of staying at Chelsea increased after Boehly’s discussion

The England international has shown class in the Premier League and in the Champions League and he is expected to earn a huge deal at any club he chooses.

According to reports, Boehly held a conversation with Mount on Friday in which he acknowledged the importance of the midfielder and the desire the club have to keep him.

The discussion with Boehly was welcomed by Mount who see it as a positive development towards signing a new contract for his boyhood club.

The Blues will face Brentford at home on Tuesday as they currently sit in 11th position on the Premier League table.
