41 year old former footballer football presenter has been accused of sexual misconduct by a co-worker at BT Sport

Jermaine Jenas, the former England footballer and TV pundit, finds himself embroiled in a new controversy following a series of serious sexual allegations.

This latest claim, reported by the Daily Mail, adds to an already troubling narrative surrounding the ex-Tottenham and Aston Villa star.

The newest accusation involves a junior make-up artist who worked with Jenas at BT Sport in 2017.

According to the Daily Mail, the artist, who was just starting her career, was subjected to a barrage of unsolicited and explicit messages from Jenas.

Despite her clear and repeated refusals, the former footballer allegedly sent her numerous sexually suggestive texts and images.

One particularly disturbing message reportedly included a proposition for a sexual encounter, framed as a secret to avoid infidelity. "Just come to my dressing room early and I'll [perform a sex act] on u… that's not cheating."

The Daily Mail's report highlights how Jenas' behavior persisted despite the make-up artist’s firm rejections. She detailed feeling uncomfortable and anxious about her work environment, particularly when Jenas was present.

Her concerns were initially addressed by her line manager, who suggested avoiding Jenas rather than formally escalating the issue. This approach, though supportive, failed to address the systemic nature of Jenas' alleged misconduct.

These new allegations are particularly significant given Jenas' recent dismissal from the BBC. In August, the broadcaster parted ways with Jenas after he admitted to sending inappropriate messages to two female colleagues.

The sacking came amid a broader scrutiny of his behavior, including previous incidents reported during his stint at the World Cup in Qatar, where he was accused of sending explicit content to another woman.

In response to these latest claims, Jenas has issued an apology, expressing shame and regret. He has acknowledged the impact of his actions on his victims and is reportedly seeking therapy to address his behavior.

Jenas has maintained that the messages were sent between consenting adults, though this defence has been met with criticism.
