In the group stage draw conducted on Wednesday, the Tax Collectors were placed in Group A, along with current Tanzania Premier League table leaders Azam Football Club.
Azam tops the league with 28 points ahead of powerhouses Young Africans SC (27) and Simba SC (22), who are second and third, having played two and three games fewer, respectively.
Azam has also won the competition five times, the most of any side.
