Former Vipers SC star forward Cesar Manzoki is steadily becoming a hit in the Chinese Super League, less than a year since departing Uganda.
Having netted a first half brace as his side Dalian Pro drew 2-2 with Beijing Guoan on June 09, the Central African Republic international has now been named the MVP for Matchday.
It was his first CSL 2023 MVP award since joining Dalian Pro in December 2022.
Against Guoan, Manzoki displayed his aerial prowess in the 16th minute as he headed in a Yupeng He cross to open his account.
The 'Congolese magnifico' repeated the feat at the stroke of halftime with a diving header, following another excellent cross, this time from veteran right-back Ting Zhu.
This was before they conceded twice in the second half to lose two points at the Dalian Sports Center Stadium.
Manzoki's brace took his league tally to four goals this season in eight appearances. He has completed 90 minutes on just five occasions.
Overall, since joining the Chinese outfit last year, Manzoki has netted six times in 19 league appearances for Dalian Pro.
With Vipers, he netted 25 league goals in 51 appearances over two years, including scooping a golden boot in the final title-winning season, where he scored 18 times.
Meanwhile, the 2-2 draw left Dalian Pro languishing at the bottom of the table with just seven points accumulated in 12 matches.
