The Senegal international is edging closer to full fitness after being out for many weeks due to a leg injury.
Sadio Mane has returned to training- albeit individual training- after an injury that kept him out of the World Cup.
Mane missed Senegal’s World Cup campaign after picking up a leg injury in Bayern Munich’s penultimate league game before the World Cup winter break.
Mane is back after World Cup break
The 30-year-old walked off after just 21 minutes in the clash against Werder Bremen. Although Mane tried to get fit for Senegal’s World Cup campaign, he subsequently missed the event in Qatar after failing to recover.
However, two months after suffering the injury, Mane is on the road to recovery after returning to training at his club.
Bayern shared a video of Mane on the grass, although he is training individually for now. However, it appears the former Liverpool star is edging closer to a return to action.
Mane at Bayern Munich
Mane has not missed many games for Bayern during his time out, missing just three league games so far.
But his potential return will serve as a huge boost for the Bundesliga champions as they prepare for the big Champions League clash against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the next three weeks.
Mane has enjoyed a decent start to life at the Allianz Arena since joining the club from Liverpool last summer. The former Southampton man has scored six goals and recorded three assists in 14 league games for the Bavaria giants.
Meanwhile, Bayern return to action this weekend when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
