Manchester City managers has hailed Sporting CP's Ruben Amorim as a top manager amidst interest from Manchester United.
With Manchester United reportedly eyeing Sporting CP’s Ruben Amorim as their new manager, Pep Guardiola has weighed in, emphasizing that while Amorim is a 'top manager', success hinges on more than just one individual.
Amorim’s potential appointment has sparked significant attention as United seeks stability and revitalization following Erik Ten Hag’s dismissal after a series of underwhelming performances.
“A manager alone cannot bring success to a club. Man Utd wants managers at that level. All the managers they’ve had in the last five, six, seven years, we cannot say they are not able to be at Man Utd. What’s going to happen, I don’t know," said Guardiola via Hayster TV highlighting the broader requirements of success at a club like Manchester United.
For Guardiola, success at United will depend on cohesive teamwork across all levels, from management to medical staff and players.
According to BBC, despite United’s interest, Amorim has not committed to a move.
“Nothing is decided yet. I don't know if it's the farewell game or not," stated Amorim In a subsequent press conference after Sporting’s 3-1 Portuguese League Cup victory over Nacional on Tuesday night.
