“I've grown immensely since coming to Manchester all those years ago, both as a person and as a player. I know what is needed to succeed at a club like this.”
Shaw has played 36 games for Manchester United this season, and helped them win the EFL Cup, his third trophy with the side.
Shaw is seen as an integral part of the squad and Manchester United’s Football Director John Murtough, has attested to this saying, “Luke is a massively important player to the squad and has grown into one of the best defenders in the world.
"He has been at the club for nearly a decade and understands the expectations for success, and the hard work, commitment and high standards required to achieve it.

Shaw’s new deal will see him at the club until 2027, and if David De Gea and Phil Jones leave the club this summer, he will be the longest serving player in the team.
