Manchester United co-owners INEOS have reportedly narrowed their search to just two options as they seek Erik ten Hag's replacement.
According to reports, Graham Potter and Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi are the two ‘current frontrunners’ to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd in the summer.
Ten Hag enjoyed a successful debut season at Old Trafford, securing League Cup victory, an FA Cup final appearance, and a Premier League top-four finish.
However, this season has seen a downturn, with Manchester United exiting the Champions League group stage and struggling with inconsistency, currently sitting in seventh place in the Premier League.
What next for Ten Hag at Manchester United?
Speculation suggests that new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS will evaluate Ten Hag's performance at season's end, but prospects appear bleak for the Dutchman.
According to Manchester World, Brighton's De Zerbi and former Chelsea manager Potter are currently leading contenders for the managerial role.
Ten Hag may need to win the FA Cup or at least finish the season strongly to retain his place at the helm.
Should the performances remain the same between now and the season's end, Old Trafford could witness a change.
