The Premier League champions in collaboration with Puma have released a limited-edition New Year Kit to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit 2023.
Manchester City has unveiled a limited edition kit to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The defending Premier League champions collaborated with Puma to reveal the £70 apparel which will never actually be worn by the team.
Following a statement on the club's official website, the kit celebrates the ''lunisolar Chinese calendar''.
However, there will also be similar celebrations taking place in a host of other countries including Vietnam and Singapore with some distinct differences.

This year 2023 is represented by the zodiac sign of the Rabbit, which features special embroidery on the back of the kit.
According to the club’s website, the limited-edition jersey, track pants, jacket, and t-shirts combine club heritage with references to Chinese culture that reach all the way to the moon and back.
Another statement also confirms that the team won’t be able to dawn the brand new kits because 'the jerseys cannot be personalized with a name or number'.
The kit which features a dark blue and golden coloured trim is also "made with at least 20% recycled material."

The kit's striking look, has been modelled by some of the club’s most popular superstars including Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne in promotional material on social media.
The Lunar Year of the Rabbit will begin on January 22, when City will be in action against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on that day.

The defending champions continue to chase the high-flying gunners Arsenal on the Premier League summit when they face their local rivals on Saturday afternoon, January 14, 2023.
But before then, the Etihad outfit will travel to St. Marys to play Southampton in the Quarterfinals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, January 11, 2023.
City are currently five points behind Arsenal after 17 games and would be looking to continue their fine form in the league, while chasing down the title contenders from North London.
