Crystal Palace went to Old Trafford and came away with all three points defeating Manchester United 1-0.
Joachim Anderson scored the deciding goal for a valiant Crystal Palace side to hand United their fourth defeat in 7 games.
How it happened
Erik ten Hag’s side enjoyed plenty of possession and got Marcus Rashford into some promising positions, although the first opportunity fell to Marc Guéhi, who headed wide.
The Red Devils were quick to respond to that warning, with Rasmus Højlund’s delicate finish bringing a superb goalline clearance from Tyrick Mitchell before Rashford danced through the Palace box but was eventually crowded out.
The visitors opened the scoring against the run of play. Sofyan Amrabat who was having a tough game, gave away a needless free-kick and Eberechi Eze’s searching cross found Andersen, who provided an emphatic finish.
United came out in the second half looking for an immediate equaliser with Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone tipping Bruno Fernandes’ effort from range over the crossbar and making a smart save to deny Rasmus Højlund.
Ten Hag's men continued to search for a goal but Palace held on for a famous win.
