According to reports from a contact close to the American family, the Glazers are looking to take Manchester United off the market since bidders were unable to meet their asking price.

The sales of Manchester United by the Glazers family have been a subject of discussion for several months.

The Glazers family have been in negotiation with several bidders but could not reach an agreement to make the sale happen.

They are now looking to remove the sale of the club from the market according to recent reports.

Glazers family looking to take the club off the market

The decision is guaranteed to cause rage among United supporters, who have never had a good relationship with the club's owners and hold them responsible for the team's lack of recent success and infrastructure investment.

The family's initial strategy, according to the insider, was to draw in a number of competitive bidders, but that didn't work out,

The insider said, as reported by Daily Mail, “The Glazers are thick-skinned and won’t be influenced by any negative fan reactions.”

The family stated in November of last year that they were open to proposals for either a full sale of the club or a partial sale in which they would retain a sizable portion.

However, there were only two genuine bidders, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, whose offer would give the Glazers a minority stake, and Sheik Jassim of Qatar, who wanted the entire club.

A number of rounds of bids were made, but no indication of the Glazers' position was provided, leaving sources close to those parties upset.

Glazers to try again in 2025

The Glazer family will reportedly try to sell the club once more in 2025 when they anticipate that economic and environmental issues will likely draw in additional buyers.

The Glazers are hoping for a larger price due to an increase in TV rights revenues, the upcoming 2026 World Cup and the expansion of FIFA's Club World Cup to 32 teams starting in 2025, which could be very profitable.

The fact that it will take place in the United States will increase American millionaires' interest in investing in the sport of football.

The Glazers believe that doing so may enable them to sell United for between £7 billion and $10 billion.

Meanwhile, last week, United supporters staged a sit-in protest at Old Trafford to call on the family to sell out once more, but the Glazers have always disregarded pressure from fans.

The club's owners supported manager Erik Ten Hag in the hopes that he would lead the team to significant success over the following two seasons and increase the sale price.
