Ten Hag hits back at Liverpool icon’s criticism of his Manchester United side
Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has criticised Jamie Carragher's lack of objectivity after the pundit's scathing analysis of the Red Devils on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
A New Era: Building a Winning Culture
"Especially on the performance side, they can help us a lot to build a culture with high standards. They can accelerate the process," Ten Hag remarked, highlighting the potential for significant improvements in the club's approach and results.
The Dutch manager believes that the partnership with INEOS will be pivotal in reinstating the high standards that have historically defined Manchester United.
Catching Up and Moving Forward
"This club has fallen down in the standards but now we are back and we can accelerate the process," Ten Hag emphasised, acknowledging the past challenges while looking forward to a brighter future.
"I’ve seen some examples where they can be really supportive to us and the team and the manager to set the right standard. We have to catch up but we are better than we were 18 months ago."
With this newfound backing, Ten Hag is confident that United is on the right track to reclaim its position at the pinnacle of English and European football.
