Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hypes up his team's performance against Liverpool despite the draw.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was happy about his team’s performance against Liverpool, despite settling for a draw after dominating for a huge chunk of the game.
The Cityzens played out a 1-1 draw with rivals Liverpool at the Etihad, which meant they lost their spot at the top of the league to Arsenal, who beat Brentford later in the day, but Guardiola was satisfied with his team’s effort.

Trent Alexander-Arnold: Reactions as fans crown Liverpool star best right-back in the Premier League
Trent Alexander-Arnold has won the battle of the best right-back in the Premier League against Reece James, after his outstanding display against Manchester City.
Erling Haaland gave the hosts the lead in the first-half, and after failing to pile on and create a bigger margin, the Premier League champions settled for a mere point after a Trent Alexander Arnold second-half equaliser.
What Guardiola said
“That was an excellent performance,” he said after the match, per the BBC.
“I am really proud that, after eight years, we are still playing that way. We were really good in all departments and needed to be up against an incredible team.
"Maybe we missed the last pass a little bit but they defended really well. To concede just two shots on target against Liverpool is a big compliment to the way we work.
