City's remarkable run of 11 consecutive victories in the final weeks of the campaign proved pivotal in dismantling Arsenal's pursuit of their first Premier League title since 2003/04.

Manchester City has secured their status as Premier League champions for the fifth time in the past six seasons following Arsenal's defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The result has left Manchester City with an unassailable four-point lead at the top of the table, with Arsenal having just one game remaining in the season.

The 1-0 victory delivered by Taiwo Awoniyi's first half goal at the City Grounds, also ensured Forest will have another season in the English top flight.

City's remarkable run of 11 consecutive victories in the final weeks of the campaign proved pivotal in dismantling Arsenal's pursuit of their first Premier League title since 2003/04.

Despite trailing Arsenal by eight points at one stage in January, the reigning champions remained undefeated since their 1-0 loss to Tottenham on February 5, while Arsenal stumbled.

Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City will face Chelsea in their final home game of the season, where they will once again lift the Premier League trophy they have now retained for the third consecutive season.

With the Premier League title secured, City now have their sights set on a historic treble, with the FA Cup final against Manchester United on June 3 and the Champions League final against Inter Milan on June 10.

Achieving a Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League treble has only been accomplished once before in English football, by Manchester United in the 1998/99 season.

Manchester City aims to etch their name in history by emulating this extraordinary feat.

The upcoming FA Cup and Champions League finals present City with an opportunity to add more silverware to their collection and lift the prestigious European Cup for the first time.
