Sundowns have already sealed their quarterfinal berth, but Mokwena wants the team to finish strong to top the group.

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has rallied his troops to go hard on Coton Sport and collect maximum points to cement their top spot in Group B of the CAF Champions League.

Sundowns have already sealed their quarterfinal berth, but Mokwena wants the team to finish strong to top the group.

The South Africans have collected 11 points from three wins and two draws and are ahead of Sundanese giants Al Hilal by a point and record champions Al Ahly by four points.

The latter two face each other in Cairo later on Saturday.

“Coton Sport is a strong side and has a lot of players that have potential,” Mokwena warned his charges.

“We have to ensure that we are at our best on Saturday andperform very well if we want to win the match. It’s important for us to finish on top in Group B,” he added ahead of the final group game to be played at the Loftus Versfield in Pretoria.

Seven teams have already qualified for the quarterfinals. They include CR Belouizdad (Algeria), Esperance (Tunisia), JS Kabylie (Algeria) and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The others are Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Simba SC (Tanzania) and holders Wydad Casablanca (Morocco)
